Trofeo Kima follows the Sentiero Roma from Filorera through Val di Predarossa and a chain of high mountain refuges and passes before returning to Filorera. It is a SkyUltra run on a biennial basis and is closely identified with classic skyrunning on big alpine terrain.

Official course starts and finishes in Filorera (870 m) and passes Val di Predarossa, Rifugio Ponti, Passo Cameraccio, Passo Torrone, Rifugio Allievi-Bonacossa, Passo Averta, Passo Qualido, Passo Camerozzo, Rifugio Gianetti, Passo Barbacan, Rifugio Omio, Bagni di Masino, Piana di Bregolana and San Martino. Organizers describe it as 52 km with 4,200 m ascent and 4,200 m descent over seven passes above 2,500 m on highly technical terrain with fixed ropes, exposed ledges, snow and rock.
