This point-to-point ultra starts in Sillian in East Tyrol and follows the marked Karnischer Höhenweg 403 along the Austrian-Italian border to Kötschach-Mauthen. The organiser describes it as largely alpine terrain where sure-footedness, a head for heights, strong fitness and long-distance experience are strongly recommended, with weather and night running adding to the challenge. Its character is defined by a full crossing of the Carnic Alps in one go, from a midnight start to a same-day finish in Carinthia.
