This course is a full loop around Innsbruck that runs past the Kalkkögel mountains and over the Patscherkofel, taking in a wide range of Tyrolean alpine terrain from valleys to high trails. The route is aimed at experienced ultra runners and the organiser says the flowing and technically demanding high-alpine trails should not be underestimated. It also carries extra event prestige because it uses the route of the 2023 World Championships, making it a serious endurance test in a major trail-running setting.

This course takes runners from Mutters through the Tyrolean mountains on a varied route with technically challenging trails and wide mountain views. It is aimed at experienced, well-trained trail marathon runners and is especially demanding on both the climbs and the descents. The route offers a classic marathon-distance mountain day within the Innsbruck Alpine Trailrun Festival, with a point-to-point feel from the start above Innsbruck back to the city finish.
