This course keeps the long-standing route around the Buchensteinwand and includes the Jakobskreuz, while shifting the start and finish to Hochfilzen. It is a half marathon with nearly 400 metres of climbing on a route that is about 70% gravel and forest road and about 30% asphalt, so it suits runners who are comfortable with mixed surfaces rather than a flat road race. The event continues the character of the former Pillerseetal Halbmarathon under a new name after 23 years of the previous organisation.
