This technically demanding route starts in Obergurgl, heads through Königstal and Hochgurgl into Timmelstal, and keeps glacier views in sight for much of the day. Runners face a long climb to Nedersee, a high point above 3,000 m at Ramolhaus, and a very technical descent to the Piccard Bridge before continuing over Schwärzenkamm and through Rotmoostal. It is a serious high-alpine challenge with varied terrain, steep climbing and descending, and a long final return through Verwall and Königstal to Obergurgl.
