The route climbs from Cavalese toward Tesero and the Cornacci/Latemar area, traversing alpine pastures and technical Dolomite terrain to peaks including Pizzancae, Pelenzana, Monte Agnello, Monte Cornon, Dos dai Branchi, Cima Valbona, Pala di Santa, Corno Bianco, Corno Nero, and Cimon del To della Trappola. After Corno Nero the course drops to the valley, then re-enters the Lagorai chain via Val Forame before descending through Masi and climbing the final kilometers back to Cavalese.

The final section follows forest roads and rolling trails through Varena before a final descent back to central Cavalese.
