This self-supported bikepacking route starts from Llanellen near Abergavenny and heads deep into the Black Mountains before continuing towards the Black Mountain crossing. Riders face mixed off-road terrain including exposed bridleways, narrow singletrack and technical rocky descents in remote mountain country. It is aimed at experienced long-distance riders who can handle harsh, changeable conditions and look after themselves for a demanding endurance challenge.
